Privacy policy for esimx.digital

This policy explains the limited data handling associated with an independent informational website. It is written to describe the site as it operates, not an imagined advertising platform.

01 / Who this policy covers

This policy applies to pages hosted at esimx.digital. The site is an editorial resource about digital eSIM technology and travel connectivity. It does not provide accounts, commercial transactions, subscriptions managed through the site, carrier service or profile activation. For general site purpose and independence, read about esimx.

The contact point for privacy questions about this website is [email protected]. Do not use that address to send activation codes, credentials, payment information or device identifiers unless a lawful and necessary reason has been clearly established; normally, this site does not need them.

02 / Cookies and local device storage

esimx sets no first-party tracking cookies. It does not operate advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, affiliate measurement cookies or a user-account cookie. There is no consent banner because the site does not set its own non-essential tracking cookie.

The dark/light appearance control uses your browser’s localStorage to remember a colour-mode preference under the key “esimx-theme.” This is a functional, device-local preference, not a profile of browsing behaviour. You can remove it at any time through your browser’s site-data controls. If localStorage is unavailable, the site falls back to your system preference for the current visit.

Your browser, network provider and hosting infrastructure may process ordinary technical request information such as IP address, request time, user-agent and referrer in server or network logs. Those processes are outside the page’s own client-side code and may be governed by the relevant infrastructure provider’s practices. This site does not add a separate analytics script to create an audience-tracking record.

03 / Analytics

esimx does not deploy a first-party web analytics platform, advertising tag manager, session-recording tool or behavioural profiling tool on these pages. We do not create visitor accounts or build a cross-site advertising audience. That is a deliberate editorial choice: a reference page should be readable without becoming a tracking instrument.

If site infrastructure later adds measurement that changes this position, this policy will be revised before that change is presented as part of the site’s normal operation. The date at the top will identify the revision.

04 / Contact form and email

The form on the contact page is not a server-side submission form. It uses JavaScript to compose a mailto: link addressed to [email protected]. Pressing its button asks your device to open an email application with fields prefilled. The website does not transmit the form fields to esimx and does not store form data.

If you choose to send an email through your own email provider, that message is handled by your email provider and then may be received at the listed address. Its content is personal data only if you choose to include it. Keep messages limited to an editorial correction or scope question; do not include eSIM activation codes, EIDs, IMSIs, passwords, card data, passport details or information about another person.

Email received for a legitimate editorial purpose may be read to respond, investigate a correction, prevent abuse or maintain publication quality. It is not sold, rented or used to construct advertising profiles. Messages may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for that purpose and record keeping, then deleted or minimised when no longer needed.

05 / Third-party services and requests

Pages load Tailwind CSS from the Tailwind CDN and fonts from Google Fonts. Pages also display photographs hosted by Unsplash’s image CDN. Your browser makes requests to those third parties in order to obtain those resources, which can reveal technical information such as your IP address, browser type, requested resource and the usual HTTP request metadata to them. Their use of that information is governed by their own privacy policies and infrastructure.

Google Fonts and the Tailwind CDN are used for typography and styling. Unsplash image URLs are used for real editorial photography. We do not control those third parties’ systems, and we do not claim that their processing is identical to ours. Blocking third-party resources may alter the visual presentation or remove photographs, but the core text remains available.

A privacy policy should distinguish website code from third-party resources your browser is asked to load.

06 / Legal bases and European-style rights

Where personal data is processed through a voluntary email, the relevant basis may be your request for communication and the legitimate interest in responding to editorial correspondence, correcting published material and maintaining the integrity of the site. The local colour preference is processed on your device to provide a requested functional presentation. This policy is general information and is not legal advice.

Depending on applicable law, including the GDPR where it applies, you may have rights to ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of personal data held in email correspondence. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a relevant data-protection authority. To exercise a request concerning an email you sent to this site, contact [email protected] and identify the address or message sufficiently for us to find it. We may need to verify a request in a proportionate way.

No automated decision-making or profiling is performed by the website itself. We do not knowingly use this informational site to collect personal data from children for a distinct service.

07 / Changes and contact

This policy may change if the website’s technical operation or data practices materially change. The updated date will appear at the top of this page. Continuing to browse after a revision does not remove rights granted by applicable law; it simply means the newest policy is available at the same address.

Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected]. For device and travel education, start with the technical guide or FAQ. For a particular provider’s service, contact that provider directly; esimx cannot access it.
